Amigurumi

Did I know what this was a few months ago? Not really. Even though I had crocheted like this before I didn't know it had a name. Amigurumi is crocheting in rounds of single crochet. This is mostly to make animals and other stuffed toys. So here are a few that I have done. Some are in my shop for sale and some have been sold, but I can make more.

Lots of baby quilts!

Her are a few of the baby rag quilts that I have in my shop. Each square is stitched with an X to keep the batting from shifting. Then each square is securely sewn to each other in a pattern. Next I clip all the raw edges. Then I wash the quilt to start the ragging process. These are very warm and cuddly for your little one. Each is made with several cooridinating flannel fabrics. I also use a natural batting in between the flannel. I prefer the flannel because it is so soft and comfy.

BabyBotties!

I've been busy making baby booties. These are nice and comfy, warm, stay on their feet booties. You know that once babies find their feet, their favorite thing is to take off their socks. So with these booties on they can't get them off.
The little football one's are made with recycled jeans!

Guess it's been a while

But things in life can get in the way. We have had alot of home projects that needed to be done. We got a new septic system put in, yeah! We had also torn down our very old garage, still need to build a new one. We alos had a little problem with our boiler. It decided to quit working when it got cold here, of course. The blower quit working and we thought that was the problem, but after replacing it it still didn't work. Well I went to the store and bought some space heaters so we had some heat at least. We finally figured it out that it needed to be cleaned really well. We had cleaned the burners before, but never knew you had to take the whole box apart and clean in there. So after about 2 days worth of cleaning and resealing, we had a working boiler.

Well now that it's getting to be winter out, which I hate to go out in alot of snow, I can maybe get a little blogging done.

Christmas ornaments

These are some ornaments that I crocheted for my etsy store.
Santa Snowman

Amigurumi Mushroon

This cute little mushroom has a secret. This opens up and can hold a little something. This is crocheted in single crochet rounds. The base has polypellets in it for weight so it will stand on it's own. I put the mouse in it to show how something can be put in.

Baby cradle purse

Here's a cute little purse that I crocheted. You fold the top part of the purse down and it turns into a cradle with a baby in it. These are great for trips for little girls. They are also great for church, nice and quiet!

Amigurumi

I have been busy making some amigurumi animals and furit and veggies. So here are a couple I've made. One is 2 peas in a pod. And the other is a little mouse. They are both crocheted in single crochet rounds. They both also have little sead beads sewn on for the eyes.

Been a little busy

Well I've been a little busy with stuff with my kids and the house. So I will try to keep up a little more on here. We are slowly tearing our garage down to rebuild a new one with an addition above.
I have been making some new things and have been getting them posted for sale on etsy. I'll post some on here very soon!

Baby sun hat

Ok! I think i figured out the picture thing a little better. So here is one of the sunhats I've made. These have ties on them that tie under the baby's chin. This is a size 6-12 months.

A little about me

Been a little busy this week too. Between dealing with a child that doesn't like to do her homework and helping a husband with a store, I haven't had alot of time to finish my projects. I got a couple small things done, I still have to take pics.

I don't think I mentioned that my husband owns a computer store. So some days I am helping him there so he can make service calls. I do try to bring my crochet projects with me so I can do some there. The sewing machine is a little harder to bring back and forth though.

I have 3 children. A 13 year old daughter, a 10 year old daughter, and an almost 5 year old son.
My husband and I are having our 17th anniversay on May 4th.

I have always like to sew and crochet. I am finally finding a little more time, most of the time, todo what I like. I am a little new to this blogging thing, but am trying it out. So bear with me while I try to figure this out some more.

starting out

Well this is my first shot at blogging, so we'll see how it goes. I am a wife and a mom to 3 kids. I am slowly trying to get my etsy business going. As time allows I get to make more new things for my etsy shop. I think I had a busy month this last month and didn't get much listed. But now I have finally got a few new things listed.

My newest things I started making are little sunhats. I got a couple 6-12 months ones listed so far. I'll be working on some more sizes soon.
